Looks like a cloudy, possibly rainy day in Cleveland, tomorrow.
Probably best viewing will be west of Cleveland.

I wish I could've been there. Everyone I talked to in Cleveland said it was an amazing event and day in the City. The weather was warm. Downtown was packed, but everybody was orderly and joyful for the Eclipse and, later, the Guardians winning home opener... This, on top of positive reviews for the Women's Final 4 over the weekend... Once again, Cleveland draws wide, national praise for handling a large-scale, nationally-watched event.

Actually, the weather was perfect! I was more amazed than I thought. We went to a park.

I was up on a bluff overlooking Lake Erie in Conneaut. It was beautiful out. NE Ohio had a lot of Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey plates around I noticed. I am used to seeing New York and Pennsylvania plates here. Funny people being amazed at the great lakes. I heard many comments about how you could not see to the other side.

I had to be down in Pittsburgh later in the evening and traffic on the turnpike was backed up for miles. I ended up going down back roads which were just as congested.

I can normally get to the East End (Pittsburgh) in a little over an hour. This eclipse traffic added another two hours to my trip.

I drove 10 minutes and watched it in totality for 34 seconds in Monroe OH, right off butler warren rd. Clear as day. The quick 10 min drive home along back roads was cake and knowing that I wasn't having to sit in bumper to bumper traffic for hours was a bonus. In Indiana for example, I heard it took some folks 2 hours to get from Lawrenceburg to Aurora which is normally a 10 min drive. I can only imagine what traffic was like on 71 with folks traveling up to Cleveland. Some of my friends in Cleveland area that have lake front property off lakeshore had me beat though, as they didn't even leave their back yard! In the end, anyone that saw the eclipse in totality enjoyed an amazing sight which won't happen again for quite some time.
