The overall traffic situation depends on major roads and alternative routes. Charlotte has a pretty good system of alternative routes which makes traffic bad at times but not awful most of the time like in some places. Charlotte is as busy as one would expect for a city its size, no better, no worse. You might say that opinions are all relative. I live up at the lake and only go into town (central Charlotte) between 9:30 and 2:30 if possible. At that time, it normally flows smoothly except for the bottlenecks at the #25 and #23 ramps.
That is a very confusing area, and something needs to be done. I don't know where or how they will do that. The problem there seems to be on Jetton Road above I-77. The other issue is exit 25. It can be a mess. In either case, I can't see where they would install roundabouts. They could help though We need rail.

I just moved right near #25 and will vouch it is a whole mess. Hell getting out of my complex to the on ramp is very challenging.
I live in the lake area. From here, it is about 6:1o-9:15 and 3:00-6:30 depending on factors like wrecks, etc.
I took a new job and am back in the office three days a week. I've found that leaving right before 7 is my sweet spot for 485/77 S, and I'm around the Highland Creek area. I leave Uptown at the latest by 4:30 and I'm home before and right at 5.
I find it hilarious... HEY!!!! I was suppose to be the only one to transplant here!!!! Now let's act like we don't know we caused too much volume for the roadways...

What are you talking about? Who said you were the only transplant? What is your point. I'm not disputing you; I just don't know exactly what you're talking about.

Sorry, I was wrong.. There isn't runaway sub-division development that the roadways can't handle...
