Check out the 1988 movie The Milagro Beanfield War directed by Robert Redford, you may recognize some of the sites. Some of the scenes where the developers have their clandestine meetings are filmed in what I believe are now sections of the museum in downtown Los Alamos. Much of the movie was filmed around Truchas, NM.

One of my favorite movies.
