This chick was a major influence of academia (makes one think of the views of her mentor Boas) & very sympathetic to the boer settlers of frankish protestant origins in settler southern africa (of course they would have a connection to the frankish colonies of the north, so-called "blonde berberiscs").

A Rap on Race: search angels.

Ian smith and the white rhodesians built the best society in Africa. The bread basket of Africa. They wanted a slow transformation to majority rule but they knew that the people were not ready for that. Zimbabwe is working out well though so I guess it didn’t matter

Zimbabwe opposition party calls for fresh elections supervised by neighboring countries

Zimbabwe’s opposition alleges ‘gigantic fraud’ in vote that extends the ZANU-PF party’s 43-year rule

Zimbabwe’s reelected president says there’s democracy. But beating and torture allegations emerge
Quote:
HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) — Barely a week after being elected as a local councilor for Zimbabwe’s main opposition party, Womberaiishe Nhende and a relative were pulled out of their car by unidentified men, shot with a stun gun and handcuffed.

They were then bundled into a pickup truck and driven about 70 kilometers (more than 40 miles) outside of Harare, the capital, where they were whipped, beaten with truncheons and interrogated, and injected with an unknown substance, their lawyers say.

Having been questioned over what their Citizens Coalition for Change party is planning after August’s disputed and troubled national election, the ordeal ended when the two men were dumped naked near a river, the lawyers allege.

Their story isn’t new in the southern African nation, which has a long history of violence and intimidation against opposition to the ZANU-PF party during its 43-year rule.

Rhodesia was great -- for white people. It wasn't great for the majority black population who were left perpetually poor and destitute. The real reason for the poverty is the sanctions from the west -- NOT Mugabe's rule.

But saying that Australia sets a somewhat poor example at kowtowing to Chinese to which a heavy price will be paid.

Corruption in many countries has sold out to Chinese interests including those of a criminal nature.

Not convinced the former Rhodesian leader was a necessary racist in the true sense of the word. He was paternalistic in his approach and very old school in thought and practice.

I recall him stating that he never locked his door. No idea if true or false. I do recall a number of Zimbabweans living down in South Africa (African origin) claiming to miss the former times when felt safer and more secure.
