Napa Valley Wine Train

Napa Valley Wine Train offers a three hour journey over a 36 miles round trip. Riders will see much of Napa and Napa Valley, California on the tour. In fact, the train goes straight through historic downtown Napa and the village of St. Helena. Guests can enjoy the Napa Valley Wine Train for lunch or dinner, while watching various vineyards and wineries flash by out the train windows. The train has 1915 to 1917 Pullman Dining cars, as well as a 1952 Vista Dome rail car. The dome car is a bit more for a ticket since it has a better view than the typical train car.

The route the train takes was built in the 1860s in order to get guests to Calistoga, a hot springs resort town. Guests have a choice of what type of tour they take. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays the Domaine Chandon Tour is provided in Yountville. On Monday through Friday tours of Grigich Hills Winery are provided. The food offered to guests is fresh and "sustainable", meaning that local farms offer their vegetables, fruit, and other ingredients to the train, thus they sustain the local environment by purchasing organic California groceries.
