My parents and I visited Carnegie Deli after our visit at Madame Tussaud's. I read really good reviews about Carnegie Deli and mom thought it sounded great as well. We arrived at the deli a little past noon and the line to get into the deli was very long. It was about a forty-five minute wait to be seated. Carnegie Deli was very crowded and I'm glad the three of us were seated together. The service was fast and professional; our waitress was very nice. My dad and I ordered a Reuben and I also ordered Matzoh ball soup, which were also delicious. I forget what my mom ordered, but she loved it as well. The food is delectable. However, when we were handed the bill, we couldn't believe the price. It was $110 for the three of us and you have to pay in cash; they don't take credit. The atmosphere was fun because of the decor; a lot of famous people have eaten there and thus signed pictures of themselves. However, if you're looking for good food at a cheaper cost (which might be a feat in NYC), I'd recommend another delicatessen. It's fun to experience Carnegie Deli once, but if I go back to New York City, I'd find somewhere else that is cheaper and doesn't have a long wait.
