I visited this restaurant using the Drive thru on 6/19/2016. When I pulled up to the first window to pay I noticed a puddle of something on the ground in my path, I didn't really think much of it. Them when I rolled my window down my wife and I were almost sick to our stomachs from the vile stench. The most horrible, rotten odor anyone could imagine. I asked the girl at the window what the awful smell was and she shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know". I couldn't keep my window down and it took forever to make change, I think my total bill was less than $3.00 and I gave her a $20.00. It was the same at the second window, couldn't leave the window down. Finally when we got our order we got to heck out of there and went across the street to the mall and as soon as we got out of the car we realized whatever we drove through at the drive up window stayed with us and not our car was carrying this stench. When we returned home, not before going to Savannah Car Wash ($9.00) to try to wash off the stink unsuccessfully, I called the restaurant and asked for the manager. The girl who answered said the was "one of the managers" so I asked what in god's name was that horrible smell and I have already spent $9 trying to wash if off my car. She told me the puddle I drove through was water runoff from the roof and the smell was a backed up sewer system and they have a plumber there now fixing it. I know the smell of sewage, who was she trying to BS? This was rotten vile grease. I suspect she was instructed to lie because more than likely an overflowing grease trap is a health violation. Over the next two weeks, 2 car washes later and several attempts to rinse the underside of my car my garage still has than vile smell. I have called the restaurant several times (More than 5) with the last call finally getting someone that seemed to have some degree of intelligence. She took my name, my phone number and said she would have the Restaurant manager or the regional manager call me. Well is now July 4th and it's safe to say no one at McDonald's is going to address this or take responsibility. To date I have spent $18.00 trying to wash this stink off my car and a few hours in the driveway with the hose as well. All for a cheeseburger and a McDouble, less than $3 bucks. Maybe this review will get someone's attention but I doubt it. The thing is, with that horrible stench that day I know I was not the only one who complained about it, I mean it was sickening. And McDonalds managements lack of response regarding this issue is sickening as well. The web page says my IP address is being recorded, good! Please contact me because I believe you need to repay me for the money I have spent trying to get the smell of your rotten grease off my car and then you need to pay to get it done because everything I have tried hasn't worked.
