Description: Innkeepers Joe and Cathy Bradley renovated this brick Cape Cod in 2005, creating a lovely in-town bed-and-breakfast where relaxation and charm are the order of the day. Located next to the College of William and Mary, the inn is just a 12-minute walk from Colonial Williamsburg and a leisurely drive away from Jamestown, Yorktown, and Busch Gardens. Each of the four carefully appointed rooms comes with a private bath. The King George Room, located on the first floor, features a king-size, rice-carved four-poster with goose-down comforter and full private bath with tub and shower. The Duke of Gloucester Room, also located on the first floor, has a pencil-post queen-size bed with goose-down comforter and a full bath. The Lafayette, located on the second floor, is a spacious guest room with a queen-size, rice-carved bed and a full-size bed, as well as a full private bath with tub and shower. This room can easily accommodate three guests. The Francis Nicholson, also located on the second floor, is the largest guest room in the inn. It features a king-size walnut bed with a feather mattress and goose-down comforter, and a twin bed. In addition to free wireless Internet and central heat and air-conditioning, each guest room has a ceiling fan, radio, TV, and DVD player. Common areas include a large living room and well-stocked library, both with fireplaces; a formal dining room; a glass-enclosed sunroom that overlooks a manicured garden, and a full guest kitchen stocked with complimentary beverages. Breakfast is served in the formal dining room, where the table is set with fine crystal, china, and silver to set off the sumptuous homemade fare. Prepared daily and served by candlelight, the morning meal includes fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, assorted entrees, bacon, sausage or ham, and homemade pastries. The dining room can be closed off and used as conference room accommodating 10 people. Children older than six are welcome. This is a nonsmoking inn.
