Description: Designated a “four-diamond” property by AAA, Kingsmill offers a multitude of things to do in a gorgeous setting: tennis, golf, swimming, and a variety of relaxing and restorative treatments at the organic, nature-based spa.The property overlooks the wide James River on one side, and three world-class golf courses surround the property. (The River Course has played host to PGA and LPGA tournaments for three decades.) As a guest, you can play any of the three 18-hole golf courses, as well as the 9-hole par 3 course, which is great for families and players of all skill levels. All area attractions are a short drive away, but you can almost get to Busch Gardens without hitting a traffic light. The resort also offers a free shuttle service to Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, and Colonial Williamsburg. On summer Saturdays, a full or half-day “Kids Kamp” is available for an additional fee. Children ages 5 to 12 play sports, swim, play at the beach, do arts and crafts, and visit the game room. A healthy lunch and snack are provided. There are 425 villa-style rooms, including one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites, some providing working fireplaces with complimentary wood during the winter. Kitchenettes, swimming (indoor and outdoor pools), tennis, racquetball, fitness equipment, billiards, meeting rooms, and five restaurants are available to guests. A marina with boat slips allows guests to cruise to Williamsburg via the James River and dock at Kingsmill. Various packages are also available, so inquire about them during your initial contact. This is one of the most pleasant accommodations in the Williamsburg area.
