Description: This elegantly appointed home is located four short blocks from the city’s Historic Area, near the College of William and Mary. A brick walkway leads up to the Georgian doorway and into the home’s front parlor. Built by a Colonial Williamsburg craftsman, the house dates from 1928 and features Flemish bond brickwork, colonial decor, fireplaces, and antiques throughout. Each room is appointed with a queen-size bed, cable TV, free Wi-Fi, a small refrigerator with refreshments to get you started, a coffeemaker, iron and ironing board, and a private bath. Mrs. Holland’s Blue Room is a cozy, romantic second-floor accommodation with a canopy bed, tub, and shower. The Twin Elms is a spacious room on the second floor with a fireplace. The Tree Top suite, on the third floor, has a bedroom with fireplace, two TVs, and a separate sitting area with a daybed and trundle. Guests enjoy a full breakfast in the dining room, offering treats such as peach French toast, hash brown quiche, baked oatmeal, eggs, meats, rolls, and muffins, all served on an period-style antique table.Innkeepers Marty and Denise Fleck are happy to work with guests who have dietary restrictions. Please let them know at the time the room is booked. The Flecks are also happy to help make special occasions more memorable by having any particular items in the room before arrival. Children, ages 10 and older, can be accommodated. This is a nonsmoking, air-conditioned house. A private patio in back is available for relaxing as are bicycles for two-wheel touring of the surrounding area.
