The student-faculty ratio is 14:1. The campus spreads around University Drive on the near south side of town and across the 106-acre area called Worth Hills, which was once a golf course but is now taken up by various athletic fields and the wonderful TCU tennis center. Among interesting specialty areas is the Starpoint School, a speech and hearing clinic and school for elementary children with learning disabilities. The Horned Frog football team, which won major championships in the 1920s, 1930s, and 1950s, has become a top-ranked entity again in the 21st century. Among choice scholastic disciplines is communications study at the Schieffer School of Journalism, named for honored J-school grad, Bob Schieffer.
