Description: Benefiting from the rich historical, architectural, and cultural heritage of Charleston, the Charleston International Antiques Show has quickly established itself as a premier event for collectors and browsers alike since its inception in 2004. Benefiting the Historic Charleston Foundation, the weekend kicks off the Foundation’s Annual Festival of Houses and Gardens ever-popular tours with world-class exhibitors showcasing a full spectrum of period furnishings, decorative pieces, and fine art from the late-17th to the early-20th century. American, Asian, and European antiques are presented by some of the most recognized names from around the country. In addition to the exhibits next to the foundation’s headquarters on East Bay Street, special events such as a preview party, young advocates’ soiree, and guided group tours as well as luncheon lectures provide even more opportunities to learn and to enjoy the display. The show runs from Fri through Sun in mid-Mar. Daily passes are $15. The special events range from $75 for the luncheon lectures to $200 for the preview party. Call the number above for more details.
