Description: Held every Sat from Apr through Dec at Marion Square (King, Meeting, and Calhoun Streets), the Charleston Farmers Market gives you a chance to pick out fresh fruit and veggies from our best local growers. Other vendors offer light fare such as crepes, omelets, bakery goods, and barbecue for sustenance during a leisurely stroll. Each week brings a variety of special activities, and the food and family fun are offered from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. (or often later during Spoleto and other special event weekends). Music, arts and crafts, and “Ask a Master Gardener” are just a few of the attractions. On the December Saturdays be sure to gather loads of fresh greenery and goodies to “deck the halls.” We know lots of folks who are regulars at the Farmers Market—hooked on that fresh-harvested produce and free fun.
