Description: If your group has big appetites, these all-you-can-eat-buffets will satisfy everyone in your party. And those with smaller appetites will appreciate being able to order just the soup and salad bar for a reduced price. Although groups make up a large part of the business here, individuals are also welcome. It’s open every day during the season but closed in January and open reduced hours in December and February. The lunch buffet begins at 11:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and the dinner buffet is served Monday through Sunday at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday at 11:00 a.m. With room for 225 people and the bountiful buffet offered, it’s easy to see why this place is so popular with tour groups. Visitors who plan on returning should check out the Regulars’ Club Card, which offers price reductions on meals as well as free meals. The buffets feature down-home cooking in a family atmosphere. The soups, rolls, and desserts are homemade, and the dinner buffet features hand-breaded deep-fried catfish. Lunch features a selection of daily specials, such as baked chicken, meat loaf, and Salisbury steak. If you like, you can order an alcoholic beverage with your dinner. General Pickett’s location across from the Gettysburg National Military Park is ideal, and their large lot makes parking a breeze. Although General Pickett’s and the Gettysburg Battle Theatre (see the Attractions chapter) are located in the same building, they are not associated.
