Description: The two courses here, Olde Page and Stone Creek, are fairly straightforward and flat. The par 71, 6,338-yard Olde Page opened in 1977. The most scenic hole is probably No. 11, with an undulating fairway and water to the right and a sand trap to the left of the slightly elevated green. Hole No. 4 is most difficult for long hitters. There’s water at about 280 yards, so you need to hold back on your drive.Both courses are nicely treed with parklike fairways. Stone Creek has a bit more water, with eight holes featuring some involvement. Hole No. 18 is a good, strong finishing hole. A long par four, it demands a good second shot. Falling short means a shot to an elevated green and will probably add a stroke or two extra. Stone Creek was named one of America’s “Top Fifty New Public Courses” when it opened in 1987.The facilities include practice areas, a pro shop, and a snack bar. Tee times can be reserved two weeks ahead, and proper dress and soft spikes are requested.You can walk the courses if you like.
