Description: Founded in 1960 as a not-for-profit Catholic health-care organization, St. Francis has grown from a 275-bed building to a massive complex with more than 700 physicians.The hospital was a gift to the Tulsa community from William K. Warren Sr. and his wife, Natalie Overall Warren.Notable components of the health-care system include, in addition to the core facility, the Children’s Hospital, Natalie Warren Bryant Cancer Center, the Saint Francis Heart Hospital, the Warren Clinic, and the Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital.One of the newest additions is an eight-suite surgery center for outpatient procedures. The hospital has also set aside a special area for patients 70 and older. This is the first and only specialty unit designed to improve the hospital experience for senior patients.
