Description: This riverfront hotel features six floors with 124 rooms and is certainly one of the most economical hotels in the downtown area (especially since each room comes with complimentary continental breakfast). A fully equipped business center is open 24 hours, offering copier, fax, laser printer, and computers, plus there’s a fitness room with Lifecycles, stair steppers, treadmills, and Nautilus equipment. It’s an all-suite hotel, with each room boasting fridge, microwave, ironing board, and more. A sample room we saw had tones of white and green, with vaulted ceilings, framed flower prints, and dark-stained walnut cabinetry. The sofa, coffee table, and dining table were nice touches.The Buckhead Mountain Grille restaurant is immediately adjacent, as is Don Pablo’s, Joe’s Crab Shack, Hofbrauhaus, and the Riverboat Row eateries such as Chart House.This is one of the closest hotels to the $200 million Newport on the Levee entertainment complex, featuring the Newport Aquarium, the Shadowbox Cabaret comedy nightclub, a multiscreen AMC movie theater, restaurants, and shopping.
