Resembling a lovely Roman villa of warm stone and tile, the building hugs a bluff overlooking the Truckee River in downtown Reno. Originally designed as upscale condominiums back in the 1980s, the facility has been remodeled to include six floors of 84 luxury apartments designed around an old-world European-style atrium. In addition to all the usual bells and whistles offered by senior living communities, Promenade also boasts a rooftop swimming pool and spa, underground parking, and concierge service. Its location in a quiet historic neighborhood close to downtown theaters and galleries is also a plus. You would think that all of this might put them in a class by themselves pricewise; however, all-inclusive monthly fees are competitive with other senior living facilities in the area.
