Description: The newest thrill at this summer-only park is the Fire Ball, a 60-foot-high looping ride that turns you upside down 13 times a minute in the turquoise New Mexico sky. Screamers also get to test their lungs on the gravity drop from the top of the Cliff Hanger and as they spin 80 feet high in the air on the SideWinder. At the very least, you’ll get great views of Albuquerque! Other highlights include the 3,000-foot-long New Mexico Rattler wooden roller coaster ride, 100 feet of which is in an underground tunnel; a Sea Dragon swinging boat; and Demolition Disco bumper cars. Watery adventures include a Rocky Mountain Rapids river ride, with a long splashing drop from the “peak,” or hang on to your raft on the Big Flush water coaster. There is also a water play area with a wading pool. In the Kiddieland area younger kids can perch on a giant pup on the Doggie-Go-Round ride, do the bouncy Frog Hopper, or drive a buggy. Snacks available are mainly classic funground fare: burgers, hot dogs, pizza, popcorn, and cotton candy. The price code shown is for an all-day unlimited-ride pass for a kid under 48 inches tall. Or you can pay as you go. General admission is $2.50 at time of writing, and individual rides are in the $2 to $6 range, with no minimum purchase.
