Description: The Albuquerque Journal is the state’s newspaper of record, publishing seven days a week, with zoned editions for Rio Rancho, the West Side, and Santa Fe. In addition to covering the expected range of metro and state news, business, entertainment, politics, sports, and lifestyle subjects, the Journal carries a number of national magazine inserts such as Parade, American Profile, and Relish, and local-interest supplements. The Journal has a comprehensive online newspaper and archives, some of which can be read at no cost, but much of the content is available by subscription only. Subscribers who have the newspaper delivered automatically have free access to the Web site, or you can take an online subscription. (There are, however, individual-session trial passes to read with no charge after watching an advertisement.) The publishers also offer a rather smart eJournal format, which replicates the print-edition layout and lets Web readers leaf through the pages just as they would a hard-copy newspaper, with extra tools to navigate, enlarge articles and photos, or save them to a personal archive. Albuquerque Journal dates back to 1880 and is produced by the Albuquerque Publishing Company, which anchors the Journal Center Business Park just south of Balloon Fiesta Park.
