Description: Owned by husband-and-wife team John and Nancy Gonsalves, the Inn at Park Spring has both Victorian ambience and a great location to its credit. The inn is located on Spring Street, near High Street. It is the West End Victorian inn closest to the downtown (the Portland Museum of Art is right around the corner). Situated in an 1835 brick town house, the inn features six guest rooms (all of which were decorated by Nancy), each with a private bath. The rooms on the first floor are located in the back of the house; one is decorated with a cottage flair and the other in traditional European style. The second floor features classic Victorian interiors. The third-floor rooms are more modern, with wall-to-wall carpeting.Lodging at the inn includes a complete gourmet breakfast as well as coffee, tea, and snacks. Rooms do not have TVs, although the sitting room on the first floor has a small set (as well as complimentary port and brandy). Children over 10 years old are welcome, but pets are not. Off-street parking is available.
