Description: Families who enjoy camping will love the time they’ll have at the Martha’s Vineyard Family Campground, located just a mile or so away from Vineyard Haven center. Each campsite is allowed one motor vehicle and either one large tent or two small tents. Trailer sites are also available. Both types of sites include electric and water hookups; the trailer sites also include sewer. Rates are $49 per night for a campsite and $55 for a trailer site. These rates are for two adults and any children younger than 18. Additional adults are charged $15 per night. Also, there are one- and two-room cabins and even tent trailers available. The grounds include plenty to keep the family busy: table tennis, billiards, biking, baseball, a store, and a playground. Cable TV is available. There are some 180 sites; it’s open mid-May through mid-Oct. No dogs and no motorcycles are allowed in the campground.
