Description: Opened by two of the team members behind Simone’s (they both feature similar seatbelts-turned-seats), this Logan Square stop is, well, sizzling hot. Doubling as a pizza place with New York–style slices (there’s even a vegan option), it’s popular during warm months when the picnic tables come out, and the patio opens. Prices are friendly, as are the bartenders who pour a rotating selection of suds that has included Founders, Young Two Brothers, and Lion Stout from Sri Lanka, cans of Half Acre and Anderson Valley, and potent blends in drinks like their Toy Gun with white pepper and peach schnapps. The cash-only policy can be a drag, but if you draw from the ATM there, they’ll compensate you with a shot of Jameson. So, cash out and bottoms up.
