Description: This extended-stay hotel is not a bad value for families visiting Des Moines, and it’s conveniently located near the interstate that forms a beltway around the city. There are 116 rooms on 4 stories. Rooms are good-sized, if not overly large, and include a sitting area with sofa, as well as alarm clock, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and desk with ergonomic chair. Fully equipped kitchens have stovetop and dishwasher as well as refrigerator and microwave. A complimentary continental breakfast is provided, as are “grab and go” breakfast bags. A variety of restaurants are nearby. There’s an indoor pool and guest laundry. Pets are welcome, but there’s a rather steep fee to bring them in. The hotel is located on the same block as the Hilton Garden Inn, and you may be able to use the airport shuttle, but you’ll have to reserve well in advance and won’t be able to use it at all on weekends.
