Description: A celebration of Hispanic culture, Fiesta started in 2001 as a project of the Hispanic Business Council of the Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce (now the Birmingham Business Alliance) to promote the customs and traditions of the many Latino people who call Birmingham and Alabama home. The goal was to educate the mainstream public about the art, music, food, dance, and culture of the many Hispanic countries represented here. After many years hosting the event downtown, the organizers relocated to Regions Park in Hoover, a city well represented by a large Hispanic population. The one-day event attracts more than 20,000 attendees, many of which represent the 20 countries showcased in this community experience. Admission is $5, and children under 12 are free. Bring an appetite, an open mind, and expect to have fun.
