Sounds like you landed with an employer who understands that even failure can be a learning experience and one can be much more valuable having admitted defeat and gone back out into the job market. I'm sure you have earned what you're getting. Glad it's being recognized. Continued success.
You are one of the lucky ones! Of course, you created your own luck with your hard work. You have now done your part by sharing your story. I'd be emotional too if a company took such great care of me after a big bump in the road.
God is good. You should live your life expecting to be blessed. Its definitely a blessing to have a job that you enjoy and that treats you well. Give thanks and remain humble.

After my business went belly up last year, I decided it was time to let it go. It was nice being my own boss while it lasted. But paying the bills was more important.
I did have a couple degrees under my belt, including a masters in structural engineering. So, I searched and found a job with an engineering firm. Benefits with this company turned out better than I thought. Insurance all paid for, for example. Good relaxing work atmosphere in the office.
Last week, the corporate office contacted me telling me they wanted to give me a company car. Also paying for my gas. This morning, I picked up the car. Brand new with only 900 miles on it.
It's been emotional for me because I've never been treated so good before by any company I've worked for. This one gives me an office, pays 100% of my insurance, pays me well, and now gives me a brand new car and also pays for gas.
Like I said, it's been an emotional day for me. I really really thought things would go down hill when my business failed. Never thought things would pick up again for the better.
