I have been searching for a new job, so I can get of of the crappy insurance industry. Anywho, I have come across several temporary jobs in states such as Colorado, Utah, and Alaska that are at resorts for vacation season over the winter season. I think the jobs would be pretty cool for a few months, then switch to a new position for the spring/summer months.

Has anyone on the forums held a position at places like these?

Summer Jobs and Seasonal Jobs in Great Places | CoolWorks.com. almost did a Montana gig. Regret not doing it. Feverishly have been applying for other gigs, but no luck. They really want people with experience.

I worked at a ski resort for years, from November to May. It was a good deal. I was able to collect unemployment too in the summer...because I was "seasonal" and laid off...

EXACTLY! I have been applying to jobs on this site over the weekend. There are plenty that are hiring for November - April, and I figure this will give them enough time to go through the apps. The pay is very, very low at a lot of these, but room and board is generally included or available for dirt cheap.

Thanks for the reply. Anyone else have any experiences in these positions?
