Bryan D - Where in Baltimore,MD. are you from? I'm from Catonsville,MD. and moved to this area in November 2007. I work in Wausau but live outside Merrill. Just wondering because I haven't run into many people from the East Coast much less from my old area. P.S. were can I find a good pizza around here, like you could get back east. The N.Y. style thinner and floppy and oh so good.

Default Good Schools

We lived in Riverview and Forest Park..both in the upper east side of Wausau..and no not in a McMansion. Our daughter went to Wausau East and graduated a full IB diploma student. She got a full academic scholarship to a private college and because of her IB classes she had enough college credit to start her freshman year as a second smsester sophmore. She graduated with a major in biochem and a double minor...in Spanish and biology. She now has her PhD in biochem and is a researcher at Mayo. She had wonderful caring teachers the whole time in Wausau schools...they let her believe in herself and gave her all the tools to succeed.

I am another former East Coaster! New Englander to be exact. We tried the pizza at that Red Eye place downtown. It was fire oven baked and pretty darn good.

I have tried the Red Eye and I really liked their pizza as well, it reminded me of a restaurantnt called Burtucci's that I used to eat at back in Maryland. I'm still looking for a New York style with a softer thinner crust, but that's a small price to pay to live here in north-central Wisconsin.

Have you tried Mino's? He makes a real Italian style pizza. Coming from Italy...I can verify that.

Mino is a great guy! He is a true Italian and the dishes he serves are authentic. It can be a bit pricey... but take it from Italians in search of real Italian food. It is worth it! My daughter also LOVES the calamari fritti (fried).
