Can anyone recommend a good friendly campground that isn't too square, that would have a bit of a more for a liberal minded retired couple? Odd, I know...
Thanks in advance....

I don't even understand what that means. A nice campground is one close to Okeechobee, it is in the Kissimmee Prairie State Preserve. But that's about 90 miles away from Loxahatchee. You can also camp in Jonathan Dickinson State park but that's about 30-40 miles away. You can also camp in the Corbett Wildlife Management area, that's smack-dab in Loxahatchee but in the winter it is hunting season and that brings out all the blood-thirsty rednecks and hicks and their swamp buggies.

That didn't turn out as I had hoped it would. Looking for camping and was hoping for a little bit of a " Hippyish" aptmosphere, nothing so lame and borish as the shuffleboard scene. I think mayhaps I am too much stuck in the 60's.......
But thanks for the info.

Loxhatchee Grove has a nudist colony, maybe that would make the difference for you...
