SAB, I've been following your winter and now your springtime. You wouldn't believe how much nicer your weather is then mine!!!
We got up to 57 yesterday/average is 62 so we're really not too far off.
Jammie, I still hate the climate here. Saturday was beautiful, 90F, but Sunday was completely fugly, not more than 60F the whole day and full overcast stratocumulus nonsense. At any time of the year, heat only lasts 2-3 days at the most and is followed by up to a week of cold misery, be it January or July. Summers are hit and miss, soome years are ok, some are terrible. Thunderstorms are rare, and when they do actually occur, they are weak with infrequent lightning.
Our winters are always cold and gloomy, and you just HOPE you have a summer to make up for it.
Not much fun to be had here if you like heat and action.
SAB, your climate is still much better then mine, but there are areas of the U.S. that have a very nice climate, too. There were two travel shows about your area this weekend. It's really pretty over there. New Zealand is especially beautiful and I know you're not too far from there. DH's number one pick if we ever left the country would be Aust. He has always wanted to go there, but it's SO far away. He likes your accents. I don't know how many times he watched Crocodile Dundee.
Yesterday was absolutely beautiful here. We hit 71 degrees and the avg. was 61. Today the avg. high drops to 60. Going the wrong direction for me.
60 yesterday and that was our exact avg. for the day.
