..92 in Downtown San Jose, breaking the record of 91 set in '87

..96 on my back porch here on the south west side of town and a record 101 in Gilroy, the garlic capitol of CA..with alot more humidity and high clouds than the past couple days..and a late day attempt at a decent Thunderstorm (and some really spectacular high base Cumulonimbus) over the hills as a subtropical low hangs out just to our south...The perfect end to our first heatwave..

Though i had my camera with me while sweating it out in the nursery, earlier at work, im regretting not getting pictures of todays rare treat ..Ohwell, i think todays weather could be a hint at what might lie ahead for our area this summer..especially if steady warming already showing up in the E. Pacific generates more Tropical systems and a stronger S.W. monsoonal flow come June and July..Usually, in years where these three things occur together, we get in on a couple summer Thunderstorms..

Lastly, in Santa Cruz, along our normally cool coast, it was 97 today..also a record ..for the second day in a row ...Too bad i was working.
