I noted the Route1Reporter before, but they are really revealing some info much faster than other sources...probably because details are very blurry, but there are enough stories right now that I think it's probably time to list off a few.

Oh someone finally bought that Baltimore Ave. property? I have heard some stories about it. Something about the owner wanted to be paid in cash at one point.

It took Bella Spa a hella long time to open. lol It was announced like 4 years ago. THought it would open at least when the other stores in the building opened.

Here's the link for the Riverdale Park Station thread. I guess you can co-opt it for all things Riverdale.

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I chose this thread which is somewhat appropriate.

I found this article detailing the story behind 2fifty Texas BBQ in Riverdale Park fascinating. A couple of Salvadorean immigrants navigating through the intricacies of the US immigration system to put together in a small Maryland town the best BBQ in the DC area.

I went the other day to see if they matched the hype, and I'm glad to report that, while I do not know how they compare to the Federalist pig, they are better than anything I had in Texas The brisket was incredibly tender, juicy, and tasty and the pulled pork was pretty good. The location is not bad (very pleasant outdoors with the heaters on), but every time a train passes you can't hear anything for about 30 seconds.

In any case, I highly recommend.

First time we had some of their BBQ we were at the Maryland Meadworks. They had a pop-up there and then we had some again when they were at the Farmer's Market.

I agree, they have some of the best BBQ I've tasted.
