Like I expect in Valdez, Alaska! But, the weather I see coming, still not as bad as May 25, 2013! Remember May 25, 2013? Only 45 F in Springfield! 2013 was a real whacked year, like 2007!

Jessica Neiles, a meteorologist with the Weather Service in Burlington, Vt., said she did not have historical data for snow on New York’s peaks, but any accumulation on Mount Mansfield, which is the highest point in Vermont, would be just the fourth time since 1954 that the mountain had a measurable amount of snow in June.

Dr. Stager said snow-capped peaks in summer used to be more common, often from winter snow packs that had yet to melt — not from fresh storms. Still, he said, “you can, in theory, get snow any time of the year.”

He pointed to the writing of the explorer Samuel de Champlain, who, after exploring the lake that would eventually bear his name in July 1609, wrote that he saw mountains to the east that were covered in snow.

None of the Dacks peaks has a weather station, even though Whiteface has a road up it. Mansfield has a COOP station at the summit.

But, I doubt there's gonna be 13 inches of snow on Mt. Mansfield like 2013!

Definitely not but that was May... it's June now.. almost mid June. lol I wonder what the max was for them on record.

I Looked at the graph from the 2012-13 season, looks like there was over 3 feet of snow at the start of May.

Another spike May 24th with 7.5" that fell that day. But all melted and down to 0 by start of June.

Love this set up to check the data there. Pick a year and the parameter and even change size of graph. Very cool! The University of Vermont: SKIVT-L: Ski Vermont Discussion List: Vermont Skiing Rules : Vermont Video Archive : Mount Mansfield Snowdepths and more: Historical Data

We're in a cool pattern now for at least next 8 days.. Might be near seasonable 1 or 2 days though.

I'm not sure what I'd prefer...what we're dealing with now or the high 80s from two weeks ago. I think I'd rather have this. Some sun would be nice though!
