My benefit year ended before the new year. I was advised to apply for unemployment again so that I could file weeks and get paid under the rules of the last stimulus bill which extended UI 11 weeks. I applied and continued to file weekly but obviously, there was an issue created on my case because I can't normally qualify not having the work requirements for a new year. I finally got ahold of someone at VEC (VA), explained my situation and she took my application for PUA. I haven't received anything in the mail or otherwise indicating I qualify for PUA for a couple months. While I keep trying to reach them again, does anyone here know if we qualify for PUA under the new legislations even though our previous benefit year ended?
