Currently, I'm working two days a week at one of my jobs after being reduce from full time to part time, and then laid off completely. I did get that job back, but not before getting another on-call position at a banquet place. Recently, the banquet place has been calling me in for 3 hours once a week on weekends, meaning that I have been claiming to have worked 3 days for the week.

This doesn't seem right; what if I'm working 3 hours a day for 6 days? I wouldn't be able to receive benefits at all, despite only working 18 hours that week.

My question is, am I only supposed to claim days of which I've worked full shifts?

Thanks!

It's a NY thing. No matter how little you work in a day, in NY you lose 25% of your weekly benefits.

Yes, you must report the work, even if it is only for a few hours.

It's one of the many reasons I tell people not to look for or accept part-time work. When you're on UI, it's like working for free.
