Hello Arizonians,
I'm a modern dancer that's tossing around the idea about moving to the Southwest...either New Mexico or Arizona to do my graduate studies in theatre and dance. Any dancers out there reading this....I hope so....if you are then what can you tell me about Tucson's dance community. . I live in the Bay Area and the dance community can be very stuck up. I also teach jazz and modern to teens and kids......are teaching jobs hard to find in Tucson......hope a dancer can help me out here.......peace out......dreamdans6

The Phoenix metro area may offer more opportunities for you in this area.

Agreed, there is not a ton in Tucson. You should check out phoenix, especially for teaching positions. Have you done any research or looked for a job in Tucson yet? You may want to check out the UofAs dance department.
I hope this helps School of Dance at the University of Arizona
Good luck
