Homolka just as guilty as Bernardo? (children, case, husband, murder)

I think she is. I don't know how she can live with herself knowing that she sacrificed her own sister to Bernardo as well as the two young girls.

Now she's living quite comfortably in the Caribbean with a couple of university degrees paid for while she was in jail.

Her psych profile lists NPD, anti-social personality, among others, she murdered he own sister w. Bernardo also.

Yes I agree that there is something very wrong with Karla. Even if she was battered by her husband she would not agree to go along with his depravity. He obviously influenced her and I think he was the instigator but there is something lacking in Karla's emphathy and she doesn't take responsibility for her actions. Two seriously damaged and dysfunctional people came together. I don't believe that a person with normal feelings would partake in the kidnap and sickening abuse that happened in this case. She should be in prison for the rest of her life and should never have got out to have children of her own. What is wrong with the justice system to let someone like this walk?

This reminds me of Rosemary and Fred West and also a case that happened where I live David and Catherine Birnie.

I don't think that Karla would commit crimes on her own. I think that if her present husband doesn't have any personality disorders and is a law abiding person Karla will follow suit.

I guess the interesting thing in these sort of violent, sadistic crimes is that some women with damaged personalities will participate if there are antisocial males/partners involved but there are very few females that participate in these crimes on their own. These women take on the characteristics of their partners. They don't seem to have a strong sense of themselves. I've read a lot of true crime and most women murderers seem to use poison as their method of killing.
