A nervous woman and her rental car embark on a nerve-racking 1,500-mile Irish journey. (Photo: Sherry Ott)

I was anxious and nervous as I waited for the guy to give me my keys to my rental car. I was so distraught that I don’t think I could have cracked a smile even if Ryan Gosling walked right up next to me in Ireland’s Cork Airport.

That was a lovely article.

I have driven round parts of the coast in between work and some of the scenery is wonderful.

In Northern Ireland I took an afternoon off work to drive round to the Giant's Causeway and the scenery round there was pretty good.

Thanks for the link. I loved driving around Ireland and, like the author, was also unnecessarily scared before I went. Renting a car and driving around the country was one of the highlights and I'm glad I did it!
