Depends on what you're doing. I have Goodyear SRA's on my Jeep, they're not bad - decent in the rain, haven't tried them in the snow yet. They're quiet and grip the road pretty well too. I had Bridgestone Dueler Revo's on my other Jeep, those were great - good off road performance, fantastic in the snow, and fairly quiet. I believe the Revo 2 is the replacement for those, supposed to be a little quieter and better in the rain. I've heard good things about the Michelin LTX M/S 2 as well, that's probably what will go on my Jeep if I dump the Goodyears.

I'd like a quiet ride & ability to handle during our tropical downpours in Sarasota. My mileage is just 20K short of 200,000; was thinking about something in the Michelin line. I know you get what you pay for & I want to enjoy my ride till it ends (hoping to get 250K on this SUV).

So, strictly street use then.

Try this:

Tire Decision Guide

it might help you decide.

I'd go with the LTX M/S 2. Good in the rain and you can get some beach driving in!

Definately go with Michelin. I have a 97 4 Runner with 291k miles and I just got 104k miles out of my last set of 4 Cross Terrain. I just installed 4 Michelin Latitude Tour and again it rides very nice. I'm averaging over 70k miles per set so far since we bought it new.

Last year I traded in a 2003 4 Runner I bought new, came with Michelin tires. When I got rid of it at 85000 miles it still had the original tires and over half the tread.
