At one time you could have seen the largest herd of buffalo east of the Mississippi. This was back when the Rudys (makers of Rudy's Farm Sausage) owned a large part of the land around where the Opryland Hotel is now.

We do like going to Opryland Hotel and walking through it, especially at Christmas. I do think that their restaurants are overrated and overpriced. The plant lushness is so beautiful.

Exactly!
We spent an afternoon last summer inside the grounds and it is breathtaking. It is definitley a must-see if you're in Nashville. Agree that the restaurants are a little pricey, but there are lots of great souveniers in the little shops.

We might stay there once just for the experience for a night, but for any more than that there are plenty of decent places for less in the area.

Uh-oh. For the sake of humanity, and poor Trace Adkins, don't give it to me. I might embarrass myself.

Supposedly, he sometimes comes out to talk to the people on those "home of the stars" tours.
