Actually, a couple of properties that are Downtown were bought through the Land Bank. There are some other properties in other parts of the city that could be revitalized as well and put to good use.
Actually, some of the properties aren't in bad neighborhoods, from what I've seen. How much renovation each property needs and/or how much one is willing to put up with will be key. So, it may be a matter of doing your research. If anything, a lot of the crime stats have actually gone down in recent years too.
