I think that on many occasions, when people are steeped in ideology, facts are meaningless.....no matter how smart/educated the person is.
I get into discussions, mainly with Vegans, about accepted biological facts relating to nutrition.......they tend to either ignore them or change the subject. I have pointed out to Vegans that iron-deficient anemia does happen....they deny. I have pointed out to Vegans that Heme-Iron is superior to Non-Heme iron........they tell me I am crazy.
If someone bothered to waste their breath and explain to one of the nutritional ideologues/experts, that YES, the brain can utilize Ketones for energy......it would fall on deaf ears.
C+I = choline + inositol. Theanine is a component of green tea but w/o the caffeine. If you're interested in neurotransmitters (NT), a good book to read is The Mood Cure where she talks about different natural supplements for building different NTs. The focus is more on those who are depressed or trying to break an addiction but I got a lot out of it too, with my ADD. Mark Hyman also has out a good book about building brain health and what you can do to avoid dementia in later years.
I was researching this and inositol reduces testosterone.
Racetams, these are definitely the top most used nootropics, and have a wide range of benefits. There is a downloadable PDF available at https://www.smartdrugsforthought.com/ Piracetam Research page, that goes into great detail regarding Piracetam, Aniracetam, Oxiracetam and Pramiracetam and their varying mechanisms of action.
I'd recommend reading more about some of the racetams, since it is easy to match them together and create a nootropic stack that can better focus on the goals you are trying to reach through cognitive enhancers.
