It's the rarest of circumstances, but in some cases major professional franchises have used two venues concurrently. for example....

when cavernous Municipal Stadium first opened in Cleveland, the Indians played only their weekend games there, continuing to play the rest of their schedule at old League Park.

the Green Bay Packers scheduled half their home schedule at County Stadium in Milwaukee

the Brooklyn Dodgers, at a time when they were looking to leave NYC if a new stadium couldn't be built, showed the serious of their threat by playing a number of games in Jersey City.

the Chicago White Sox, also a franchise that gave evidence that it might move, shifted a number of its games to County Stadium, Milwaukee being one of the markets considered in a possible shift of the Sox.

Omaha and Kansas City shared the Kings and their home games.

WHAT OTHER PRO TEAMS FOLLOWED A SIMILAR SITUATION OF PLAYING IN TWO VENUES CONCURRENTLY?

And feel free to throw in any colleges that followed a similar pattern. such as..

Arkansas played a number of its home games in Little Rock along with its home Fayetteville

Same thing for Ole Miss who used Jackson in addition to Oxford (I believe Miss St also scheduled in Jackson)

Illinois has scheduled in various years (not all that frequently) a game in Soldier Field

I believe in addition to the Auburn game, Bama played a number of home games in Birmingham

Wazzu has scheduled home games in Seattle

The Hartford Whalers played Home games in the Boston Garden/Springfield Civic Center during the in 1978-1979 because the roof of the Hartford Civic Center collapsed.
UMass Amherst has football games split between McGrick (on Campus) and Gillette (in Foxborough)
Many Colleges in cities (RIT, Providence College, Holy Cross) play big games (Homecoming, against big Rivals) at their cities main arena as opposed to their smaller on campus arena. For example Holy Cross is hosting BC and Providence College at the DCU center for home Hockey Games.
The Buffalo Bills used to play 1 home game a year in Toronto.

The Atlanta Hawks spent time at the Georgia Dome and the basketball arena at Georgia Tech for about 2 seasons while Philips Arena was being built. I don't remember if it was one season at one and then the other season at the other venue, or if they did actually use both of these venues during the same season(s).

I seem to recall the LA Clippers did this as well before the Staples Center. Half a season at the Anaheim Ducks arena and the other half at their older arena, whatever it was called.

The Washington Wizards and Capitals spent their first month of the 1997-98 season at the Arena in Landover because the new MCI Center as it was known at the time was still not ready. I believe this venue finally opened around December of that year.

When the Carolina Panthers first came into the league in 1995, Bank of America stadium was still under construction. Originally the plan was to play the 8 home games that season at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, SC. But the USC athletic director didn't want to share the stadium w/ a pro team, so the Panthers ended up at the Clemson Stadium instead. Not quite what the OP was asking for but thought it was worth mentioning.

Clippers' old house was the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. That was during some of their 80s-90s dark ages. When the Clips moved to Staples their franchise started to get better. I liked their early Staples' squads with Eric Piatkowski, Corey Maggette, etc..

The old LA Memorial Sports Arena has a lot of sports' history.

The Denver Broncos in the early years of the American Football League would play their first two home games at the University of Denver, Stadium, just off I-25 and University Blvd. The Denver Bears had a AAA minor league club at that time and their season generally wouldn't be over till the 15th. After the season finished, then the Broncos would move over to Bears Stadium, which was renamed Mile High Stadium in 1969.

The Cleveland Indians played a few games in Milwaukee's Miller Field in April 2007 due to frigid April weather in Cleveland.

The Cincinnati Reds started the 1970 season at old Crowley Field and moved to the new Riverfront Stadium on June 30, 1970.

There were architectural problems at State Olympique in Montréal in 2003 that forced the Expos to play games in Puerto Rico.
