This is across sports, so Basketball, Hockey, Football, Baseball etc are all fair game.
1. Boston College is hated in Massachusetts despite being really bad at everything, except Hockey. Its mostly because they are really elitist considering they aren't even the best University on the C branch of the green line, and they don't really endear themselves onto the local community despite being in a ritzy suburb. Even Harvard seems to be more open with the community hosting non-college events and such.
2. Duke is hated by everyone who didn't go to Duke in North Carolina, and they are good at Basketball and Lacrosse, and okay at football. That alone makes people hate you, but they are also full of rich, privileged white kids so people hate them more. Also their main rival is UNC, the main public university in North Carolina.
3. Auburn: Their main rival is Alabama and they are in Alabama, and its safe to say Alabama is the dominate program (at least fandom wise) in that state.
4. Pitt: If your share a state with Penn State, sorry, nobody will like you outside of alumni and student's families.
Any others?
