Would tend to agree, he seems to have all the shots - and no mental weaknesses, which were apparent in the likes of "'Baby Fed"' (Grigor Dimitrov) - who was earmarked as the next big thing a few years ago.
Will be interesting to see how he goes against Novak Djokovic tomorrow in Miami.
This is a slow hard court, ideal to Novak, and Dominic likes these and clay.
Djoker will no doubt want to show Thiem, and all the ""young guns"", that there is still a large gap, and a big step up in class, between him and them tomorrow.
Can't wait to see how this pans out.

He won some clay title couple of weeks ago and he destroyed Nishikori. That seems something that can only be achieved by the Big 4 two years ago.

Well, he didn't destroy Nishikori, but some other guy named Nishioka.

Thiem just got destroyed by Djokovic.

Bautista Agut is a solid top 20 player, an above average journeyman if you like, but no more than that.
Nishikori though should be aiming to join the list of Grand Slam champions though, in the very near future. (certainly well before Dominic Thiem).
Most of these guys now though have to hope and wait, that Novak Djokovic starts to decline in the next couple of years.

I watched his match vs Dog. He (Nishikori) is looking very strong - although he didn't look good in that heat.

Can Kyrgio take Raonic? I don't think he is at Raonic's level.
