At least in the sports I watch (tennis, track), considered the most dependent on physical strength, stamina and mental acuity, the guys at the top are 30-35. I'm talking about Usain Bolt, Roger Federer, Justin Gatlin, etc. In fact, this guy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernard_Lagat is almost 41 and still at the top of the running world. I guess that's refreshing to know?

There are sports where you don't peak until your 30's or 40's. I would put car racing in that category along with Olympic level weightlifting where many don't peak until in their 40's.

I'm hoping to live into my 90's so that there might be a shot at shooting my age in golf. I used to be able to bowl my weight, but alas no more. I'm not capable of bowling a perfect game.
