I want to hold off from starting a new topic because my initial post in this thread was about Des Moines, but as I do more research and hear from you guys and other sources I keep having my focus moved to different locations which is natural when you plan something like this. But there's a lot about Renton that is seeming like my best option as far as affordability and location. So if anyone can tell me as much as they can about living out there I would appreciate it. Like I said in my post above, I was thinking maybe looking more north and east of the town

The biggest down side of Des Moines for many is the fact its near the airport and directly in the flight path so even at the beautiful waterfront/fishing pier etc you get quite a bit of plane noise.
