Oh how I love the beauty of San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area. As a very amateur photographer, I love simply walking the streets of SF and snapping random pictures. Having said that, would anyone here care to recommend a good, moderately priced camera for someone seeking to upgrade from a simple point-and-shoot camera?

I currently have a Sony Cybershot digital camera, which actually takes decent pictures and is easy to use, but I would like to upgrade to a more professional type of camera with a better lens and more functions? I'd like to stay south of the $1000 price range.

Thanks

Nikon d3200 will probably do 99% of whatever you'll need. Less than $600 OTD, you can always upgrade/change lenses in the future.
