Hello. I was looking at RC's crime rates. On relocation crime lab, it shows that the 91739 zip code is way worse. I am not sure why bc we traveled to some of that area, like the Windrow area, and it seemed nice. So, the crime rates were:

91701 56
91730 90
91737 43
91739 237 (350 property)

100 is average for the U.S. The numbers are an average between personal crime and property. So, the 91739 was around 150 personal crime, still higher, with an average of 237, which is similar to San Bernardino's numbers. So, the other zips are really good I thought. Can anyone tell me if there is a bad part of this zip code or something, so stay away from. We are looking at rentals, and have finally decided on RC for jobs.

91739 is right on the border of Fontana, that's why. My parents live there and it seems safe enough but when the recession was at its peak, I did see alot more sketchiness. Also, it's near the mall which brings a lot of riff raff.

If you move out here get ready for the ghetto bird to fly over every night! Regardless, I feel safe here and I like it.

I moved to RC 2 years ago from a big city and never felt unsafe. I really like the area but unfortunately will be moving shortly.

That makes sense. Thank you. I feel better. We did find a really good area of Rancho, in the Etiwanda School area right above the 210. But then I look, and it seems that some of the major crimes like shootings have been only a few miles away as close as just below Foothill. Yet, when we drive around it does not look bad. Is there a bad part of Rancho at all? Maybe we missed it. I hope that we did not make a mistake moving there bc it seems great.
