Hello, could someone help me please? My husband and I are thinking about moving to San Antonio from Michigan. I love cold weather, but Michigan is soooo depressing. I'm looking for a decent city environment, with a good school system (we have a toddler), in a housing neighborhood of about 200k. My family and I are minority mutts (black, panamanian, you name it)...lol. And I'm am nervous about moving to the south. How is the racial mixture in San Antonio? What would be a good neighborhood/district to move to?

Family of three, with a toddler looking for a safe area and good schools.

Pretty much anythng on the northside (northwest, north central, north east) or the far west side or westplex area.

For 200k, you can get that just about anywhere in the city but I'd recommend Stone Oakor Sonterra Park as a great place to live.

Just type in "Stone Oak homes" at google.com and there ya go.

As for you race, that'll be a very very non-issue thing in SA. Diverse population racially. Friendly as heck.

Default I am from Michigan too

Raquel,
I am from Michigan too. I will arrive in San Antonio in early August. I am trying to establish interviews with employers (i am an accountant), and it's been tough due to the distance. But, I hope everything will work out.
I live in Dearborn Heights.
Where in Michigan do you live?

Gabriela

Hi Gabriella! Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. Thank you for the encouragement. I know everything will go well for you. I am sure you will be able to find work as an accountant. I live in Harper Woods. Overall, I am so excited to move away and have a change of scenery.
